Library to present alternate bulding plan to borough MILFORD — “Option B”, a plan to build a new main headquarters for Pike County Public Library on the East Harford Street property owned by the library, will be presented on Monday, Aug. 2, at the monthly Milford Borough Council meeting. The meeting will be held in the Milford Borough Hall on West Catharine Street at 7:30 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. Public Meeting for Route 6 project WESTFALL — PennDOT has scheduled a public meeting to discuss a proposed Route 6 roadway restoration and improvement project in Westfall Township. PennDOT will present the design options for the replacement of the bridge project over Bowman’s Creek. Project managers will explain the project and answer questions on an informal basis. Preliminary designs will be available for review. The presentation will be held as part of the Township’s monthly council meeting at 7 p.m., on Aug. 3, the township building, Delaware River and LaBarr Lane, Matamoras. New traffic pattern on Route 2001 Bushkill — A traffic switch to a single lane controlled by a three-way stop in the area of the deli between Milford Road (2001) and US Route 209 is in place, lasting into next week. Paving and line painting will take place 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday July 30; line striping Monday, Aug. 2 and traffic patterns switch on Tuesday, weather permitting. All three directions must stop for these signs. That includes roads that did not have a stop sign prior to this switch at the intersection of Milford Road and Bushkill Road. The traffic pattern allows for the removal and realignment of the existing road and construction of the roadway to the new alignment. The speed limit through the project is 25 mph. Route B power line meetings stay on schedule BUSHKILL — The National Park Service announced Tuesday that the preliminary alternatives public meetings for the (Route B) Susquehanna to Roseland Transmission Line Proposal and Right-of-Way Request Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will take place in August, as scheduled. A petition movement asked for a delay in the meetings, arguing that many people would be vacationing and unavailable in August. The NPS statement said “There are no perfect times to capture all possible participation; however there are numerous venues for the public to share their opinions and comments.” Another press release with information regarding the dates, times and locations of the public meetings will be forthcoming.
