MILFORD - Owner and developer Darren Lowell is seeking borough approvals to reconfigure the residence at 406 W. Harford Street into a commercial office building. Lowell and architect David Wieboldt appeared before the Borough Planning Commission on Nov. 14, with four separate agenda items. Lowell is seeking to consolidate portions of lots 831 and 832 at the building adjoining Helm’s Service Station. He is seeking a variance for street parking, a multi-use conditional zoning permit, and approval of a land development plan. The Borough Council is expected to hold public hearings for the lot improvement and multi-use zoning permits on Dec. 5, while the planning commission will hear the land development plan formally on Dec. 12. No date for a Zoning Hearing Board appearance has been scheduled for his variance request. Lowell said he hopes to have the project completed and ready for occupancy by spring of next year.
