Park service is hiring

    Bushkill — After a long dry spell in new funding for the parks, the National Park Service at the Delaware Water Gap this week announced a series of current and coming job openings. The park is currently recruiting for a project manager, salary rated GS-13, a permanent full-time position. Other soon to be recruited full-time positions include those of: facility manager, rated GS-12; telecommunication manager, rated GS-07/9; maintenance mechanic, WG-09; and park ranger, for Interpretation, rated GS-11. NPS will begin recruiting soon for several other temporary or seasonal positions. These include: recreation aids and assistants, rated GS-03/04/05 (lifeguards) at about $14 per hour; motor vehicle operators, WG-08, about $22 per hour; supervisory motor vehicle operator, WS-04, about $25 per hour; supervisory motor vehicle operator, WS-08, about $29 per hour; and maintenance workers, WG-05,at about $19 per hour.
