MILFORD - Does Caramel Pear Pie sound good? Or how about Pear Tart or Pecan Encrusted Chicken Cutlet with Julienne Pears and Carrots? And you probably can’t resist trying Spiced Pear and Shallot Relish. These are but a few of the delectable delights that are included in the 2005-2006 Pear Recipe Book that contains recipes entered at the Pear Cook Off, part of the Pear Blossom Festival in April. The cookbooks are now available from the Penn State Cooperative Extension in Pike County, at a cost of $3. Contact the Extension Office, located at 514 Broad St., Milford, or call 570-296-3400; or you may download a copy of the cookbook for free at http://pike.extension.psu.edu/Nutrition/2006/Pear2006.pdf
