Pears like rain, festivals weekends don't

Milford - The blossoming trees along Broad Street gloried in the weekend’s rain, but it was a damper for Milford’s Pear Blossom Festival. Rain cancelled the scheduled parade Saturday and by early afternoon only a few hardy vendors and visitors remained at the rainy festival site at the park. The rain also put a damper on visitors to a Civil War re-enactment weekend at The Columns Museum.
