Pen pals at Shohola Elementary School encourage writing skills

The 4th grade students of Debbie Roa’s 4th grade class are already involved in a writing project, formulating letters in a journal format and corresponding with the high school varsity volleyball team. Roa is one of the coaches of the team, and brings the journals back and forth between the students, a way for the elementary students of the district to correspond with each other while practicing their writing skills. The fourth graders anxiously await each response from their pen pals in the high school. (Contributed photo)
