Pike Builders name leaders for 2009
SHOHOLA The Pike County Builders Association (Pike) held their 2009 Installation of Officers dinner on Jan. 13 at Peter’s Restaurant in Shohola, where the evening was sponsored by Eastern Propane Corporation of Hawley. Introductions were made by 2008 President Bob Pierce to welcome Gene Kreitzer the Pennsylvania Builders Association (State) President and State Northeast Field Service Director Jerry Leach. Kreitzer installed the 2009 Pike President Clyde Kreider of Clemleddy Construction. Kreider who was Pike President in 1993 is now taking a second term sixteen years later. Clyde is currently working in sales as well as instructing many building industry classes. He has earned a BS in Elementary Education, MS in Psychology, and has earned Certified Graduate Builder, Certified Graduate Remodeler, Certified Green Professional, and Residential Construction Superintendent designations. Kreider is a Life Director of the Pike County Builders Association and a continuous member of the Pennsylvania Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. Kreitzer also installed the following 2009 officers: First Vice-President, Len Crescimanno - Cresci Construction; Second Vice-President, Paul Szostak - LTS Builders; Treasurer, Bill Zernhelt - Sussex Bank; and Secretary Mike McCarthy - The Cabinet Shop. The following were installed to the 2009 board of directors; Larry Melillo - Superior Walls By Advanced Concrete; Bill Murray - Wayne Bank; Greg Vannatta - Vannatta Builders & Realty; Pete Helms - Joy Beck Builders; Dave Farrington - SolutionPro LLC; and Darren Lowell of First Horizon Home Loans. An Award of Excellence was presented to Bob Pierce of Davis R. Chant Realtors for his outstanding work as PCBA President for 2008. Glenn Strys of Lords Valley Builders was presented with the Life Director Award for ten years of continuous service on the Pike County Builders Association Board of Directors.
