Pike builders report successful fundraiser

MILFORD - The Pike County Builders Association held its annual fund-raiser for the Pennsylvania Committee for Affordable Housing on July 27 with a Pig Roast at the American Legion Post 139 in Milford. All funds raised at this event are used to assist the Association in influencing Legislative and Regulatory efforts beneficial to the industry. As a member of the community your business is constantly being affected by the legislature. This fund-raiser will enable the association and the committee to help support candidates who will support us on the building trade and business issues. The Association had a fund raising raffle with many local businesses contributing prizes. The businesses that donated included: Pella Products, Hogan Homes, Luhrs Ace Hardware, 84 Lumber Company, Lords Valley Builders, Mountain View Homes, Dirlam Brothers/Narrowsburg Lumber Company, The Cabinet Shop, Eastern Propane, Wayne Bank, The Dime Bank, Pocono Interiors, Johns Power Equipment, Ken and Sandy Winters, McKean Custom Homes, Ed Nikles Custom Builder, Cresci Construction, Gumble Brothers, The Honesdale National Bank, Greg Vannatta, The Gallery At Forest Hall, Combined Energy Services, Roy B Hull Century 21, Independence True Value, Apple Valley Restaurant, Prime Time Meats, Rowley Building Products, Erie Materials, The Lumber Yard and Fretta’s. There were five monetary prizes given out throughout the evening with the last two ticket holders splitting a grand prize of $1,000. The winners were: Rick Wychoff $25, Pat Addio $50, Jim Wendrick $50, Scott Wilson $75. Chairperson, Greg Vannatta awarded Joe Granville and Sue Smith, $500 each. The Association raised $3200.00 towards their affordable housing goal.
