Pike fair marks another September

DINGMAN — A new location and some threatening weather helped hold down attendance at the The Pike County Agricultural Fair, during its Sept. 10-14 run. Some fair-goers said the site, behind the Mount Haven Restaurant, could not be seen from Log Tavern Road, which created a visibility problem. Heavy rain on Friday held back fair goers as did a wet Saturday, with scattered showers most of the day. As one of the young men working in one of the games told the Courier, “It’s been a rainy season and maybe next year will be better.”
