Pike friends in need of homes
SHOHOLA Check out these pets waiting for homes at the Pike County Humane Society. Cherokee: Arriving from a vet who rescued Cherokee and another lab who were running as strays and were never claimed, Cherokee is a gentle and very affectionate 30 pound one-year-old gal who would love to bring her love and friendly personality to a home who enjoys the playful and devoted attention labs for known to give. Small for a lab, she’s a cuddler - so be prepared to meet a sweetie who is sure to win over your heart. Seal: Light tan and curly tailed, this 29-pound puggle, (pug-beagle mix) will do best as the only pet in the household as he doesn’t always share well with other dogs or cats. Also, as he doesn’t take well to the antics of small children, an adult household or one with older kids will make the best home for this one-year-old handsome fella. Tigger: At 70 pounds, this super handsome and affectionate two-tone brindle-colored hound mix is an 18-month-old playful fella anxious to be someone’s favorite poochy playmate and loyal companion. Housebroken and good with other dogs, Tigger has been getting the positive training that is giving him good family manners and leash skills. Adequate exercise, plus your continued attention and training will help him master his obedience skills so he can be the remarkably perfect best ever pet he wants to be. To see them and the other adoptable dogs and cats, bunnies and guinea pigs, visit the shelter on Lee Road in Shohola.
