Pike wins ‘Growing Greener' funding

    Milford - The Pike County Conservation District last week was awarded $72,000 under Pennsylvania’s Growing Greener program, to provide financial and technical support to municipalities in the county. The distict project, as outlined in Pike’s draft comprehensive plan, will support municipal officials in implementing land-use regulations that will contribute to the long-term conservation of water resources. The grant was part of Governor Edward Rendell’s Nov. 17 announcement of $14.4 million statewide funding, which will support 129 project grants.
