Pike's Peek

Are you someone who notices details? How familiar are you with our area? From time to time Pike’s Peek is going to illustrate some detail, like the one highlighted here and see if you can figure out where it is. In a following week, we’ll reprint the detail and a larger view to reveal the answer. If you’re up to the challenge, take a shot identifying the picture and e-mail us at paoffice@strausnews.com. No prizes are involved, just bragging rights. We thought this might be too easy again, which we’ve already heard about in past. A color photo would have been a dead giveaway, but in any event, last week Sheila Paolillo, Carol Osterberg, Dick Cronen, Lynn Wilson and Daniel O’Keefe all figured out the black and white version and correctly identified the roof of the Sunshine Station (the former Evergreen Restaurant for the old-timers) on US Route 6/209.
