GREeLEY — State police say a bullet struck the metal frame of a second-floor family room window Saturday afternoon, narrowly missing the glass and two children seated next to it, playing video games. Trooper Edward O’Haire said 3:30 p.m. incident happened at the Thomas C. Gold residence on Fox Tail Road. O’Haire’s reported that the bullet, which missed the glass by one inch, had been fired from a great distance and was spent when it struck the frame, preventing it from penetrating into the house. Police said that the Gold residence is located near a large tract of woodlands and the bullet was believed to have come from a hunter. Saturday was the last day of the state’s rifle-deer season. O’Haire reported the incident as Reckless Endangerment and is continuing the investigation. Police ask that anyone with information about this shooting should call 570-226-5718.
