Port friends needing homes

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — Oscar is a very handsome gray male about three or four years old. He had been living as an outside cat but probably was someone’s cat at one time. He wasn’t nasty to anyone but wasn’t that friendly at first when brought to the shelter as a stray. However, now he enjoys being petted. Oscar has become a favorite of some of the shelter workers. He is still on the shy side but is coming around very nicely. He will be neutered before going to a new home and is using the litter box in his cage. Piglet probably is a bulldog/pit bull terrier mix. She is a female about two years old. Piglet has a friendly disposition and a mushy face to fall for. The back part of her body is higher than the front and she loves to be right next to you. Since she came to the shelter as a stray, we aren’t sure she is housebroken but she is clean in her kennel. Piglet will be spayed before going to a new home. She loves to hang out with the shelter staff and her tail constantly wags. She has been food tested for aggression with no issues. Prada is a super lovable female grey tabby with white markings. She is one year old and housebroken. This pretty girl loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. She will be spayed before going to a new home. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please call or visit the Humane Society of Deerpark/Port Jervis at 202 Rt. 209 North, Tuesday through Sunday. The shelter is closed Mondays. Call 845-856-3677 or visit www.pjhs.petfinder.com. For our shelter events and more information visit www.pjhumane.org .
