Positive parenting scheduled
MILFORD “Parenting is not easy. Positive Parenting offers effective parenting tools and strategies that will benefit families of infants, school age children and teenagers,” says Nancy Grotevant, Cooperative Extension’s Family Educator. To help, the Penn State Cooperative Extension in Pike County offers “Positive Parenting,” a three session workshop for parents, parent educators, social service agencies, parenting organizations, schools, churches, and others. Positive Parenting focuses on parent-child communication, nurturing relationships, setting limits, and respectful discipline practices. Participants should plan to attend all three sessions. Classes are scheduled for: Tuesday, Sept. 18, Wednesday Sept. 26, and Thursday Oct. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Community Room, Biondo Building, 221 Broad Street in Milford. Pre-registration is required by Sept. 14 and there is a $5 fee.
