PPL supports the United Way

MILFORD On June 11, Paul Canevari, Community Relations director at PPL Corporation presented a $2,750 contribution to the United Way of Pike County. With the 2008-2009 fundraising campaign still underway, this generous contribution will help the United Way come another step closer to their goal. “We are grateful for this donation from PPL Corporation. Every contribution to the United Way gets us closer to reaching our goal, and we thank Paul Canevari and PPL for supporting our mission, which is to help fund human service agencies in Pike County,” said Christine Obser, UWPC president. “PPL’s continued generosity is greatly appreciated. This donation and their sponsorship of our upcoming June, 22nd, third Annual Golf Classic Tournament at Woodloch Springs demonstrates their commitment to the United Way of Pike County and our community,” UWPC Vice President Tom Regenski added. United Way Board Member Frank Redington expressed his thanks. “It is great that Paul Canevari of PPL and all the employees continue to support the United Way especially during this tough economy, more people than ever are turning to local human service agencies, for their basic needs.” Canevari said, “PPL is pleased to support the United Way of Pike County. The funding provided by the United Way is essential to the continued growth and welfare of the fastest growing county in Pennsylvania and the many challenges brought about by that growth.” The United Way of Pike County is currently at 75% of their campaign goal, and you can help them reach it.
