Random Acts of Kindness' at Shohola

Shohola - At the Shohola Elementary School, students in grades Pre-K through 6 participated in “Random Acts of Kindness Week,” sponsored by the PTA. Various acts of kindness are suggested for students to participate in and the week concluded with every student receiving a compliment sheet. Students in grades Pre-K to Second each draw a picture about one student from their class and write something nice about their classmate. Students in grades 3-6 had to compile a compliment about every student in their class. With the help of class parents, each student received a personalized list of compliments about themselves. This school wide event is designed to foster good deeds among the student body, and self-esteem boosting for all involved. Each class offers compliments to be compiled for the Principal, Dr. Peg Schaffer. The student council executive board presented Dr. Schaffer with her list of compliments. Dr. Schaffer thanked the students and reminded them how special it is to receive such positive messages from the school. This meaningful event is a tremendous amount of fun and encourages a positive spirit at Shohola Elementary School. This is the fifth year the school has run this event.
