Reading Counts, or “R.C.” as Shohola Elementary calls it, is a new reading program featured at school. It is a program that students log into and select a comprehension test according to a book they have read. When a student passes a selected test, they earn points towards their reading grade. Each grade level has a required number of points per marking period. The Shohola Elementary Reading Department and Library have worked together to supply a wide range of test titles to match their library collection. After the first marking period, the school reported the program as a huge success. Submitted by Jack Fagan (Contributed photo)
