Safe Haven's annual Candlelight Vigil
MILFORD - On Monday, Oct. 5, Safe Haven will hold their annual candlelight vigil which calls on the community to collectively honor and remember those victims who have died from domestic abuse, honor the survivors and celebrate those working to end violence against men, women and children. This event is not limited to those personally affected by domestic violence; just by your presences you can show your support. The vigil will start at the Pike County Public Library in Milford at 6 p.m., with opening remarks. The silent walk will begin at 6:30 p.m., where walkers will go from the library to the Good Shepherd Church, where two domestic violence survivors will share their stories. Refreshments will be served. Vigil will end at 8 p.m. October is Domestic Violence Month; help Safe Haven Paint Pike Purple by “Promoting Domestic Peace”.
