Saturday night is Earth Hour'
MILFORD Sponsors of this worldwide energy conservation event are hoping that On Saturday, March 27 at 8:30 p.m. (local time around the world) an estimated one billion people will turn out their lights for 60 minutes as part of “Earth Hour.” A recent survey by energy provider, Direct Energy found that only seven percent of Pennsylvania respondents are aware of Earth Hour. While overall participation is low, there is a slight growth in participation from previous years- 32 percent of respondents plan to take part this year by turning off lights an/or running only essential appliances. To help make every hour Earth Hour, Direct Energy is encouraging Pennsylvania residents and businesses to participate in this movement.
