Schroeder seeks election to county recorder-registrar's office

MILFORD - Republican Sharon Schroeder has announced her candidacy for the office of Pike County recorder of deeds and registrar of wills. Schroeder is a life-long resident of Pike County, daughter and assistant to Mary Jagger, former Delaware Township tax collector. Sharon has experienced the growth in Pike County and has learned first hand the needs of the Pike County taxpayer. She was employed for six years in the Pike County recorder of deeds, registrar of wills, prothonotary and clerk of the courts office, working with Joyce Z. Helms. She has been a self-employed title searcher for the past 24 years, continuing her involvement in the real estate field. As a business owner, Schroeder will bring years of managerial and leadership skills along with her real estate knowledge to these Pike County offices. “The rapid growth of this county demands a full-time, competent and responsible office holder who is dedicated and committed to serving the needs of the people of Pike County,” she said in an announcement. Schroeder has been a member of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce and the Pike County Republican Women’s Council for the past several years. She is also a supporter of the Pike County Builders Association, Pike County Realtors, and continues her involvement with many community associations. Sharon and her husband have four children. They have all attended the Delaware Valley School District. Hanks Jr., 24, graduated the University of Pittsburgh, and is currently employed with Vanguard Mutual and resides in Charlotte, N.C. Brian, 22, will graduate Kings College in the spring with a degree in Finance and Accounting. Amanda, 17, will graduate Delaware Valley this year and attend college in the fall. Andrew, 13, is currently attending Delaware Valley.
