Milford Cub Scouts from Pack #71 visited the Milford Fire Department on Nov. 13. They not only received a fascinating tour of the Milford Fire House with Fire Chief Tony Mann, but also got a close up view of the vehicles and equipment. It was certainly one of the highlights of the year for the boys. The scouts were working toward their “Be Ready” Achievement. During their visit to the Fire House, Chief Mann discussed many facts with them including what to do in case of various scenarios such as auto, bus, and boating accidents, falling through the ice, incidents of fire, and the importance of planning rescue routes. Safety is no accident and being prepared is extremely important. It is not too late to join Cub Scouts. This program helps your son know, commit, and practice Cub Scouting’s 12 core values. These values will remain with your son throughout his lifetime! For more information, call Cubmaster Repenning at 570-296-7123 or Committee Chairperson Liz Nathan at 570-409-8351.
