Sestak meets with Pike Dems
MILFORD Democratic US Senate candidate, Philadelphia-area Congressman Joe Sestak (PA-7) addressed a monthly meeting of the Pike County Democratic Committee Jan. 28, where he highlighted initiatives from his policy proposals to help working families during these tough economic times. “For a generation that has gone on too long, establishment politics have become more important than the policies that are best for us,” said Sestak. “It’s time to put Pennsylvania over politics and have a new generation of leadership that will restore accountability and transparency to government and make long-term financial security a top priority.” “I have long called for an aggressive plan to help Americans save money and keep their homes,” Sestak said. “Throughout this year and last, Congress and the President have taken a number of critical steps to stem the tide of foreclosures, but it is clear that more comprehensive action is needed. In areas which are particularly hard hit by the foreclosure crisis, we need to act swiftly to break this vicious cycle.” View his “Plan for Pennsylvania Families” - Affordable Living at http://joesestak.com/planforpafamilies/theplan.pdf .
