Seven compete at the Pa. Junior Science and Humanities Symposium

WESTFALL - Seven Delaware Valley High School students attended the Pennsylvania Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, March 4 to 6, at the Penn State main campus, where they explained their long-term projects and results in twelve-minute presentations followed by six minutes of questioning by university faculty. Accompanied by high school biology teacher Mark Nebzydoski and chemistry teacher Janet Masser, the seven students were: Georgiy Polyak, 12th grade, Samantha Mascia, 11th grade, Megan Welker, 12th grade, Skyler Schneider, 12th grade, Ashley Stryker, 10th grade, George Hupfer, 12th grade, and Evan Fox 11th grade. After their presentations, the students were also given tours of buildings on campus to learn about the various science-related studies the university supports. Included was a tour of the new Forensics facilities. All of the students that participated in the competition are students currently enrolled in the Integrated Math/Science Honors Block Program at Delaware Valley High School.
