Shutterbugs 4-H Club visits Childs Park
DINGMAN On a recent brisk December morning, 4-H club members Mike Casson (left), Katie Lepper (seated), and Alexandra DeVilliers (right) listened to club leader Andy Conrad explain some of the finer points of shooting waterfalls using the “Rule of Thirds” and placement of objects within a photograph. The Shutterbugs 4-H Club meets twice monthly. Members get together for a photographic shooting experience on a Saturday morning and then meet on a Wednesday evening to share photographs and learn more about the art of photography. The next club meeting is scheduled for Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon and at the Milford Borough Hall located at 109 West Catharine Street. 4-H is the youth development program of Penn State Cooperative Extension. Boys and girls from 8 to 19 years of age meet to plan and direct their own programs under the leadership of adult volunteers. If you are interested in attending the Shutterbugs Club meeting or want additional 4-H Program information, please contact Diane Boucher Appel, Pike County 4-H/Youth Development Educator at the Penn State Cooperative Extension in Pike County office, 514 Broad Street, Milford, 570-296-3400 or e-mail PikeExt@psu.edu.
