Siptroth at Dem dinner
MILFORD State Representative John Siptroth (D-189th) will be the keynote speaker for The Pike County Democratic Committee Annual Dinner-Dance to be held on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the historic Cliff Park Inn. In addition, Scranton Mayor Christopher Doherty and Matamoras Mayor Richard Gassman will also be in attendance. “We are honored that our state representatives will be with us” said Julius Litman, Chair of the PCDC, “He is an inspiring speaker and this will be a great opportunity for Democrats and like-minded individuals to come and meet him, on an up close and personal, one-to-one basis.” In addition to dancing and great food, an additional feature of this fun-filled evening will be a Silent Auction organized by lifetime Democrat and Mt. Haven Restaurant and Resort co-owner, Andrea Filone. There will also be a raffle with proceeds to benefit the PCDC Campaign and General Funds. Karen Scollo, wife of former Chairperson to the PCDC, Phil Scollo, is editing our annual journal. “She did a great job on last year’s journal and we are thrilled she agreed to do this year’s,” said Event Coordinator Cheryl Glenn. Attendees will be treated to the music of DJ Steve, a tri-state DJ, for the evening’s entertainment. The dinner-dance will be held on Sept. 20 from 6-11 p.m. at 115 Cliff Park Road in Milford.
