On Wednesday, Nov. 22, Shohola Elementary School was honored to have an active duty soldier visit school. Specialist Ashley Moyer, who is pictured with her brother, 5th grade student Kyle Clark, was home for a two-week leave from serving in Iraq, and is scheduled to return to Baghdad shortly. She talked to students about her career in the army, serving in the military, and her experiences in the Middle East. Moyer answered questions for more than thirty minutes. Students said they were excited to honor a special member of our community. (Contributed photo)
