Honesdale — To celebrate her birth, little LeeAnna Marie Swartz’ father brought her a newborn onesie. That was nice. But when her mother unwrapped the baby’s blanket and saw what was written on the onesie, Tiffany Larocque was “speechless.” The words, “Will you marry my daddy?” were painted on the onesie in glittery black. Attached to the shirt with a pink ribbon was a beautiful ring. Immediately, dad Gary Swartz dropped to one knee and proposed out loud. Larocque said yes and “then, I just burst out crying. It was all so much!” Swartz said he had planned the proposal for a long time, and the nurses at Wayne Memorial were “all over it, very helpful.” The Honesdale couple has set no date for the wedding, but they’re both thrilled with LeeAnna. The 8.5 pound baby girl was born on Feb. 28 at 1:08 a.m. with the help of Dr. Hoon Yoo from Women’s Health Care and the staff of Wayne Memorial’s New Beginnings Birthing Suites.
