Bible Church hosts third

annual sportsmen’s dinner Milford - The Milford Bible Church is hosting its third annual Sportsmen’s Dinner on Saturday, April 1, from 2-7 p.m. at the church on Foxcroft Drive in Milford. Featured speakers this year include Gerry Caillouet host of “The Trail to Adventure”radio show and Pennsylvania Elk guide, Dick Hribar. In addition to the main speakers, there will be booths and demonstrations staffed by local experts on such topics as reloading, fly fishing, building longbows, fletching arrows, taxidermy, trapping, fishing the Delaware River and more. Attendees will have a chance to bring their whitetail mounts to be Pope & Young scored. There will also be a fly fishing demonstration and a 3-D archery shoot on the church grounds at 1 p.m., prior to registration. As always, the church foyer will be transformed into an awe inspiring display of God’s creations with over 50 animal mounts on loan from church members and friends. Some of the mounts include Elk, Grizzly, Caribou, Black Bear, Moose, Turkey , Salmon and Trout. The church views this event as an important outreach to the local community and goes to great length decorating- especially the gym area where the dinner is served. Two large outdoor murals will provide the backdrop for the dinner, framed by real 15-foot. pine trees to provide a realistic three dimensional effect. At the conclusion of the evening, an in-line muzzleloader, a Parker Genesis bow and a fishing rod and reel combo will be given away.
