DV Warriors sputter against Pennridge Rams in opening season loss

Pennridge High School (Perkasie, Pa.) defeated Delaware Valley High School (Westfall Township, Pa.) in varsity football on Friday, August 23.

The final score was 13-0. The game took place at DVHS.

It was the first game of the regular season for both teams. The DV Warriors Kept the Pennridge Rams from running up the score but could not find traction offensively.

Pennridge quarterback Bobby Croyle threw for one touchdown and completed 11 of 16 passes for 167 yards.

Wide receiver Connor Pleibel made four receptions for a total of 119 yards resulting in one touchdown.

Running back Taj Utsey scored one rushing touchdown.

Delaware Valley quarterback Zach Scillia completed 11 of 24 passes for 82 yards resulting in one interception.
