Football future looks bright

Westfall - The Delaware Valley Freshmen football team won the Lackawanna League Division I Freshmen Football Championship. The team’s record was 8-0-1. On offense, the team was led by Hank Neurouter, who scored nineteen touchdowns. Steve Jensen, Dan Saita, David Vega, Alex St. John and Hank Neurouter all carried the ball for the Warriors. Quarterbacks, Ian Maute and Jimmy Hearon, guided the offense. Top receivers were Charles Zimmick, Michael Reese, Kyle Sharp and Mark Pike. The offensive line, which opened up many running lanes, was anchored by Kyle Lutz, Darius Glover, Kyle Krakower, Paul Bertino, Christian Fescina, Adam Hames and Mark Pike. The defense was also very strong. They posted four shut-outs for the season. Kyle Lutz and Hank Neurouter led the defense as linebackers. Dan Saita, Chris Horner, Robert Hogan and Mark Pike helped the team as defensive ends. Steve Jensen and Charles Zimmick anchored the outside backer positions. A number of players helped on the defensive line, as well as, the secondary. Delaware Valley High School is extremely proud of the efforts of all of the young men on the team.
