Safe Haven fundraisers feature fresh fall air, exercising

Save Haven has planned two fundraisers for the fall, and one is a bike tour slated for Sept. 18.
MILFORD — Save Haven of Pike County says it has the perfect way to spend a fall Saturday morning — "in the beautiful outdoors with music, exercise, and lots of color!"
Two such autumn mornings are in store. In fact — a bike tour in September and a colorfest in October. Both will raise money for Safe Haven, whose mission is to "eradicate domestic violence, sexual assault and other serious crimes through prevention, empowerment and the promotion of social justice."
Peddle for a Purpose
The bike tour, “Pedal for a Purpose,” offers a scenic ride along the Delaware River on Sunday, Sept. 18, starting out from Milford Beach. Choose your ride: 18, 28, 42 or 60 miles.Free pre- and post ride refreshments will be available.

Colorfest
A family-friendly color run/walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 (rain or shine), at Akenac Park in Dingmans Ferry.Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the run at 9 a.m.
Pre-registration is $20 for adults and kids 5 and over. On the day of the event, the cost is $25. Kids under 5 may participate for free. Register online at http://conta.cc/2b4j6EZ.
Color packets will be for sale. Wear white shirts and old clothing, and bring eye protection. No animals will be permitted.
