Lords Valley - The Martial Arts Academy of Lords Valley has teamed up with two other karate schools to raise $500 for a college scholarship for a worthy student. On Sunday March 12, the Hemlock Farms Steer Barn hosted the the Lords Valley Academy, the World Karate Union Martial Arts Academy of Stroudsburg and Milford Tae Kwon Do. Shihan Fred Catanzariti of the Martial Arts Academy of Lords Valley, Sensei Frank Tasetano of the WKU Martial Arts Academy, and Sensei John Wroblewski of Milford Tae Kwon Do brought their various styles of karate together for a friendly tournament that was a first for many of the young students present that day. In keeping with the spirit of generosity, every student participating won a medal or a trophy. A college-bound high school student from one of the participating karate schools will be chosen at a future date to receive the scholarship money.
