WESTFALL -Sheets of rain, enough to cancel that nights varsity football game in Scranton, came down Friday evening as Delaware Valley met North Pocono in twilight match at Warrior Stadium. Rain, varying from drizzle to downpour, slowed the first-half pace until with only 5.9 seconds remaining, Jeff Bochicchio of North Pocono lofted a 30-yard shot high into the Warrior net. North Pocono added a second goal at 33.55 of the second half. The Warriors Pat Smith came back with 27.54 goal and the game ended with the Warriors (6-7-1) in an unsuccessful press for a tie. Coach Pat Burns says his young team, with only two seniors, has done a good job keeping a positive attitude throughout a disappointing season. With only five games remaining on the schedule, Burns figures DV would need to go 4-1 to make the playoffs.
