NEWTON - Cardiology Medical Associates of Northwest New Jersey announced the addition of Maria Leda Bazsa MS CCRN NP-C, a certified Cardiology Nurse Practioner. She joins William J. Scarpa Jr. MD, FACP, FACC and David S. Buyer, MD. Doctor Scarpa said, “This is a new concept for us. We are confident that our patients will welcome her and agree that she is an important addition to Cardiology Medical Associates.” Bazsa whose interests have always gravitated to the cardiology patient has served as a Supplemental Critical Care RN in various New Jersey hospitals. She has also served as a Coronary Care Unit Staff RN at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where she was responsible for the management of patients with various cardiac diagnoses. She participated in the follow-up care of post heart transplant patients and has collaborated with physicians in the long-term management of cardiac patients. She is a resident of Andover where she resides with her husband Andy and their 2 children. Doctor Buyer is an Associate Attending Physician Department of Medicine/Department of Cardiology at Newton Memorial Hospital since 1998. Both doctors are certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. Either doctor can be reached by calling 973-383-3700. Their offices are located in Newton and Sparta, NJ and in Milford.
