Street work moves on

MILFORD - The borough’s street enhancement project is ready to move east on Harford Street. Seeking approval to formalize design plans, Richard Snyder of the Milford Enhancement Committee displayed sketches before the borough council earlier this month. In addition to sidewalks, curbs and verges, the plan would create new parking and two one-way street sections off the eastern end of Harford Street. Current plans include construction through Third Street on the north side, and stopping at Century 21 on the south side, where Snyder said boundary issues are in play. The council approved the design, work for which will be funded by joint interstate bridge commission and various federal grants.
