Students win scholastic honors

MILFORD Two Delaware Valley High School students have won sought- after scholastic recognition. Junior Melissa Vazquez-Aguilar has been awarded the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award and Scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year. This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement in science by high school juniors. Melissa’s selection qualifies her for a $30,000 scholarship to the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y. Melissa completed the Delaware Valley High School Integrated Math and Science Honors Program. She is the daughter of Lilia Aguilar-Manjarrez and Hector Vazquez-Ochoa. Senior Valerie Langberg has been awarded the Rensselaer Medal for the 2008-2009 school year. This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement in science and math by high school juniors. Valerie’s selection qualifies her for a $60,000 scholarship to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Valerie completed the Delaware Valley High School Integrated Math and Science Honors Program. She is the daughter of Laura and Eric Langberg.
