MILFORD — Orange and Rockland Utilities Community Investment Program awarded a $2,700 grant to G.A.I.T. Therapeutic Riding Center last fall to purchase much needed office equipment. Directors of G.A.I.T. elected to use the grant to purchase a laser printer and several locking file cabinets. G.A.I.T. is a non-profit, charitable organization providing therapeutic equine experiences on and off the horse for people with special needs. The uniqueness of the programs offered at G.A.I.T. require specific medical and personal information of participants that requires confidentiality. The continual upgrade and improvement of office and security systems is important to the riders, parents and caregivers, who are appreciative for the security and privacy of their information. This is the third year that G.A.I.T. has been a recipient of the Orange and Rockland Utilities grant and they are grateful of O&R’s continued support.
