Tinsel by Mother Nature

Shimmering decorations appeared on the trees off Log Tavern Road, as raindrops turned to ice overnight and made a spectacular display Saturday, Dec. 13. The ice was largely decorative in eastern Pike. However, associated heavy rains and icing brought reports of downed wires and several traffic accidents in the northern and western townships. In Lackawaxen, PennDOT reported that low-lying portions of the Masthope Plank road were closed most of Friday due to flooding. Photo by Linda Fields.
