Township okays bus stop plans
MILFORD After several months of back and forth haggling, the Milford Township Supervisors on Monday approved a school bus stop plan for the Milford Highlands subdivision. Ordinarily a detail, the bus stop had added importance because it impacts a conditional zoning use agreement that developer Dominick Bradlee needs before any homes might be sold in the 70-lot project off Old Milford Road. Township officials had questioned the fencing and type of children’s shelter Bradlee wanted to use. An earlier plan for the bus stop already gained township approvals and Supervisor Don Quick felt Bradlee had no need to seek revisions. Quick voted against the approval Monday evening. Supervisors Don Williams and Phil Barletto voted for the new plan. Separately, the board approved a lot revision for Milford Highlands builder, Toll Brothers’ model home site. In other business, the supervisors approved a temporary sign to mark the future U.S. Route 6 headquarters home of the Biondo Group. The financial advisors will build on a 24-acre parcel on the north side of the highway, west of Interstate Highway 84. Also, following a lengthy closed session discussion, the supervisors agreed to call on Alternate Solicitor Tony Waldron to advise on anticipated litigation against the township by manufacturer, Geoffrey Peckham. Solicitor Doug Jacobs has a conflict barring his participation.
