Milford — Township supervisors agreed Monday that unauthorized parking and display of vehicles by a U.S. Route 6/209 car dealer will be subject to prosecution after July 2. Supervisors Chair Gary Williams warned attorney Jeff Earlin, who had come seeking an extension for Milford Honda. Zoning Officer Russ Current said the township received a letter from Earlin’s colleague John Klemeyer, which asked an extension, stating that Milford Honda has an application to file for the appropriate zoning permits. Current added that the dealer got an application “a year ago and never followed up on it.” Current charged that the dealer has vehicles parked in and around the property on the lawn and in places undesignated for parking and is using other places for unauthorized displays of vehicles. Klemeyer has sought a month’s extension from June 30, but Williams granted only until the next supervisors’ meeting, on July 2., “or we’ll start prosecution.” In unrelated business, the supervisors and manufacturer Geoffrey Peckham announced an agreement that would allow renewed work on a utility building, on Milford Hall Lane. Attorney Anthony Waldron insisted that Peckham observe a required 48-hour notice to the neighbors prior to any additional rock blasting. Peckham said he was not aware of an old conditional use agreement binding the property and will now observe it. The supervisors also approved Saturday use of the township building parking lot for a farmers’ market and approved a request to install a Planet Aid used clothing/shoes bin in consideration of a $1,000, six-month stipend.
