HONESDALE - See the name of a loved one honored in lights this coming holiday season. The Lovelites Committee of the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary this week officially launched “Love Lites 2005.” Committee members are looking for people who wish to honor a loved one with a twinkling light hung on a tree outside Wayne Memorial Hospital. Last year, 583 lights, each one honoring the name of a loved one, were strung across several trees,,,200 more lights than the year before. “We hope to have even more this year,” said Cathy Howell, WMH Auxiliary President. Lovelites 2005 is a fundraiser for the Hospital, which kicked off a capital campaign, Operation Vital Signs, earlier this year. The Auxiliary has pledged to raise $210,000 towards the campaign. The cost of a “love lite” is $5. The deadline for names is December 10th, and the lights are usually up through New Year’s. A display table with the loved ones’ names will be set up in the Hospital inpatient lobby. For information, call Howell at 570-253-3777.
