LIBERTY, NY - New York State Police on Tuesday arrested two Milford teens in connection with a March burglary in the Town of Lumberland. Police charged Jesse Clemente, 18, and Adam D. Barden, 17, of Milford with felony, third-degree burglary. Two other 15 year-old juveniles were also charged with burglary and Keith DePauw, 17, of Glen Spey, N.Y. was charged with misdemeanor, third-degree criminal trespassing. Following a March 22 break-in at a gymnasium at Camp Chaye Sara in Lumberland, police said they found vandalism and graffiti which warranted a bias crime investigation. In an April 4 statement state police reported that their investigation “resulted in a determination that the motive of the defendants was not bias related, but to utilize the gymnasium for a place to skateboard.” The juveniles were issued Family Court Appearance tickets and released to the custody of their parents. The three charged as adults were processed and released to their parents pending a future appearance in Town of Lumberland Court.
