United Way agency contributes to turkey drive
MILFORD On Friday, Dec 7, Christmas turkeys were handed out to the community by The Good Shepherd Church’s Ecumenical Food Pantry. The Food Pantry received some help from Pike County’s United Way President, Christine Obser. “It was a pleasure being here to help distribute these turkeys; 42 turkeys to be exact. I am very grateful to Ross Hoffman for donating the turkey. His daughter, Jennifer Hoffman, who is a student of the Communities That Care Program, which is funded by United Way of Pike County, was here to help distribute the turkeys as well. I would also like to thank Patti Hornbeck, Alexia Barbou, Gretel Netzger, and David Shanklein, for helping with the distribution. It was a great collective effort!” Obser commented. With all the help, the Ecumenical Food Pantry successfully handed out all 42 turkeys to Pike County residents who needed them. This was a great collaborative effort for the benefit of the community.
