Vent almost buried

MILFORD - The notorious vent issue is about to have its last gasp. The Milford Borough Council will meet in a special recessed session Monday evening in anticipation of final recommendations for approval of the controversial kitchen vent at the Fauchere Hotel. Following a conditional approval last month, a last moment decision to entirely bury the horizontal duct work for the vent, required preparation of new engineering drawings for borough officials approval. Borough President Matthew Osterberg said the recessed meeting was necessary because the council wanted to consider the plans in time to allow hotel owners planned opening later this month. The final disposition of the vent, will leave only a 42” upright and fan cover open to sight, said Fauchere Manager Michael DiLonardo.
