Veteran surgeons join specialty group

NEWTON, N.J. Newton Memorial Hospital is proud to announce that the impressive surgical team of Ronald K. Harris, M.D., Brian F. Newman, M.D. and John G. O’Brien. M.D. has joined Medical and Surgical Specialty Group, a Hospital-affiliated practice created by North Jersey Healthcare Corporation. The team of Board Certified surgeons has more than 75 combined years of experience in a wide array of general surgical services, such as Surgical Oncology as well as Laser and Laparoscopic surgery. In addition, these surgeons are well-equipped to manage most types of cancer; treating lung, breast, colon, skin and soft-tissue tumors using the latest techniques and technology in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Drs. Harris, Newman and O’Brien take a broad conventional and laparoscopic (minimally invasive) approach to many surgical conditions, including those involving the gallbladder, lung, colon, intestines, appendix, gastroesophageal reflux, hiatal hernia and all variations of abdominal wall and inguinal hernias on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
