Veterans recognized at stadium ceremony

WESTFALL - Local veterans lined the side of the field for half-time and the crowded Warrior stadium looked on as each Veteran was presented with a certificate of appreciation during halftime at the Nov. 4 varsity football game. The DV band accompanied the ceremony with patriotic songs. The performance was in commemoration of Veterans Day. Also, a raffle sponsored by the DVHS student council was announced. The three students who won got comfortable sideline seats. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Pike County Humane Society.
