Walmart names new market manager

Milford, Honesdale stores included in regional job WILKES-BARRE — Walmart has named Bill Riiff as market manager for the company’s operations in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre region, which includes seven stores and employs 2,800 associates. A 10-year veteran of Walmart, Riiff last worked in Pittsburgh, where he was responsible for operations and merchandise execution. In his new role, Riiff will oversee all functions of Walmart’s market operations, including: finance, general sales operations, human resources, asset management and safety, compliance, pharmacy and merchandising. Walmart is Pennsylvania’s largest employer, with 47,094 associates working in 96 supercenters, 33 discount stores, 23 Sam's Clubs and four distribution centers across the commonwealth. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre region comprises seven supercenters in Dickson City, Honesdale, Milford, Mount Pocono, Taylor, Tunkhannock and Wilkes-Barre, where Riiff will be based. Riiff has an associate degree from Embry Riddle University. He, his wife Sandra and their three children are relocating to the Wilkes-Barre area.
