Weather outside's been frightful
MILFORD The weather was the main topic as the Milford Supervisors kicked off business for 2008 on Monday evening. Roadmaster Supervisor Gary Williams reported that the “horrendous weather” has been hard on road supplies, requiring three salt deliveries in the past week. One of the township’s trucks remains out of service. Despite the conditions, Williams was pleased in reporting that no traffic accidents had been reported on any township road. Supervisor Don Quick complimented the road crew’s work, adding that it was “certainly better than PennDOT.” In other business the supervisors: approved a minor subdivision for the Biondo CBH Holdings property (which the school district earlier planned to purchase); approved an $1,850 contract for computer maintenance; and announced they would fill a planning commission vacancy at their next meeting, at 7 p.m. on Jan. 22. During the earlier reorganization Quick was appointed as board chair, Williams re-appointed as roadmaster and Phil Barletto was named as vice-chair.
