There was an almost-real “Predator” out on the streets on May 1. The movie villain was pitching Heroes’ World Comics participation in world-wide, Free Comic Book Day. Joel Loomis’ Mill Street store has been open for five years. “Comic books unfortunately are for my generation. We grew up with the hobby and took it with us as we went. Writers from back in the 70s and 80s who were readers, now are writers for us and readers are guys from age 23 to who knows what age.” Heroes’ World Comics is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. and broadcasts a live podcast every Friday evening from the store which can be heard at www.heroesworldcomics.com.
